S2 Speeder

miniprints is thrilled to offer you the Fairmont S-2 Speeder complete with a two-person crew. This model was 3D designed by Stephen Gardiner based on an original that is housed at the Toronto Railway Museum. The two miniprints figures are included and can be placed in the speeder if desired.

A speeder is a MOW motorized vehicle that was used in the past by track inspectors and work crews to move quickly to and from railroad work sites. In the 1990’s, speeders were replaced with hi-rail trucks. More information can be found here: https://www.trha.ca/trha/collections/speeders/

Speeders are now collected by hobbyists and refurbished for rail excursions. These hobbyists often  organize themselves into associations so that they can approach railroads to get permission to operate as a train of speeders on excursion. Now you can model this on your layout!

This is a HO scale model of a Canadian National Railways Fairmont S-2 Speeder Car with wooden body enclosure. It is a static model, and the wheels are cast into the model and are designed to be a scenic accent and not an operational vehicle. Unpainted 3d resin prints. Satisfaction IS guaranteed.
